What is BLS Training

The aims / learner outcomes of the Basic Life Support First Aid training course

1. Roles and responsibilities: Understanding the role of a first-aider and the legal requirements for providing first aid in the workplace.
2. Assessing the situation: How to assess an incident, prioritize actions, and ensure personal and bystander safety.
3. Unresponsive casualties: Recognising and managing an unresponsive casualty, including checking for breathing, performing CPR, placing casualties into the recovery position and using automated external defibrillators (AEDs) if available.
